1. OUR MISSION
// EMPOWER MUSEUMS

Since 2016, BeMuseum curates a yearly conference making today’s cultural stakeholders meet, share and discuss the future of national and international museums.

This full-day conference, set in a Belgian city, is dedicated to provide the best innovative practices and documents new trends for museum professionals to empower museums in the fields of culture and technology.

Through this national encounter, BeMuseum has created a new collaborative space for dialogue, forging solidarity between museums, bridging business opportunities with numerous partners from Belgian public and private sectors.
For this years edition, BeMuseum will gather forward-looking speakers around the themes of Open Data, Digital Strategy, Cultural Consumption and Eco-responsibility. A detailed program will soon be available.

2. OUR COMMITMENTS

BeMuseum is taking part in the digital, organisational and philosophical transformation of the museum and Belgian cultural sector by creating a safe space to share hands on experiences.

BeMuseum disseminates new trends and digital innovations to cultural institutions in an inclusive environment to inspire museums and help them forge the next thing for museums.
The BeMuseum annual conference is committed to offer a wide range of professional learning opportunities, from plenary sessions to informal networking, from museum project demonstrations to commercial exhibits, from professional debates to enlightening talks. 

Since 2016 we :

  • Are and will remain neutral and independent
  • Have a no-show off policy to encourage the exchange of good practice
